Local Outreach
St. Barnabas is a church whose ministry and focus move outward from its faith and life together to assist others. The largest outreach project we engage in is the Clothing Sale, which provides funds for non-profit organizations. In 2009, the recipients of grants from the Clothing Sale were:

- Yonkers Salvation Army Food Pantry
- ESL and afterschool program at Iglesia Memorial de San Andres (Yonkers)
- Irvington PTSA Camp program
- Cluster Community Service (Yonkers)
- Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester (Tarrytown)
- The Center for Jewish, Christian & Muslim Understanding

In addition, St. Barnabas is involved with several other notable groups in the community. A few of them are listed below.

Alcoholics Anonymous and Alanon
Both groups meet in the Education Wing on Fridays and Sundays.

Irvington Children's Center

The only day care center in Irvington has been at St. Barnabas for the past six years.  More than 150 children are enrolled in this important program.  For further information, please call 591-8182.

Kids Outreach Club
The St. Barnabas youth groups sponsor a number of projects each year, including assembling and delivering "goodie bags" for senior citizens and college students away at school.

Midnight Run
Come with a team of parishioners from St. Barnabas as they go to New York City once a month (usually Friday evenings) to feed and clothe homeless people living on the streets.  The group leaves the church between 9:00 p.m.and 10:00 p.m and returns around 1:30 a.m.  Other parishioners provide sandwiches, eggs, etc. for food bags taken on each run.  To go on a Midnight Run, please call the church office at 591-8194. For more information, you may also visit the Midnight Run website,  http://www.midnightrun.org/

Yonkers Emergency Food Pantry
Non-perishable food is collected in the back of the church each month and taken to a center in Yonkers for those in need.
